Thesis Statement

In the novel Invisible Man there are many instances where it is demonstrated that the truth can be based on facts, emotions, ideas, beliefs, thoughts or any combination of these. It is also demonstrated that the majority, or the powerful few that are able to influence the majority, are the ones who decide the truth. The truth accepted by the majority is not the only truth, it is just the truth that won its way to the top. This means that it can be replaced by a new truth if the majority wants it to be or if the majority is won over by a minority.

The purpose of this website is to prove this thesis statement with the help of selections from Invisible Man, essays of scholars, videos, and songs. Each piece of evidence will be accompanied by an explanation of why and how I think it supports my thesis statement.
